Simple Camera Slider

Description

Summary This a camera slider I designed to be GoPro mount compatible to assist me in creating better footage for videos. The system can be driven by pushing the platform, turning the crank handle, or via a cordless drill. I designed this slider with two thoughts in mind. I want it to be inexpensive to build and allow for multiple ways to drive the system. Originally, I intended to have three drive systems; hand driven, drill driven and to motorize it. I'm still working on motorizing it, but with the original idea of keeping the design cheap so that anyone could build it with minimal impact on their wallet. Please feel free to remix/modify to your needs. I did test it out with the weight of a DSLR camera and it worked absolutely fine however I haven't finished the platform to mount a regular camera yet. Not difficult to do, I've just been working on other things. I do plan on improving the design as needed, so don't hesitate to leave comments/suggestions.
