Printed in SainSmart wood filament at .15 mm layer height. I plan to seal the inside with FlexiSeal or similar before planting a something small in it. I may finish the outside somehow but I am not sure since I have heard staining doesn't work well with this filament, I may try on a different print first.

Printed without scalar, 35% infill, with supports.
Thanks a lot Tom for this great design! I modified the baby a litte to get the fingers seperate and closed some gaps at the back, so that pouring the plant will not overflow some water - I hope you are OK with it :D Ahh... and I did upscale it a little (about 1.5) so that a 6cm pot fits in (made it to 121g with supports) Printed with my creality CR-10. Now the important part :)
Thanks Tom :)
Our baby Groot)

Hi everyone ! Here is mine, first print on a CR 10 (and first print ever) Setup : PLA, 200% scale, 0.2 mm layer, 13% infill, 80 mm/s print speed, 200°C/60°, no support, 8mm brim = 17h30 on cura, ~20h IRL I already cleaned the default on the first photo, with no support I got some defaults below the arms and at the bottom of the chin. For the paint : 2 layers of varnish (a try to hide the vertical lines) and brown spray + Badab Black paint for warhammer. Very happy of the result, thanks for this awsome piece of art ;)
Printed in HIPS on Anet A8 clone, painted in acrylic and stuffed with tinted moss and artificial berries
Bronze Glossy PLA
Awesome model, and my 2nd print ever! Turned out amazing on the CR-10 (though I was excited and for got the supports and needed some love in a couple spots under the arms and chin with miliput). Finished with filler primer and acrylic paints. Thanks for the model!
I bought my 1st 3D Printer because of this awesome model that you had create. Its my first ever attempt to paint a 3D model or even a model.I hope you like the results. Stadar White pla.
Thanks for the cool model! Tried to do a nice studio render with that, mimicing the layers of a 3D print
Thank you for sharing this! Printed with FlashForge Creator Pro 2016. Took 20 hours 28 minutes. I used brown PLA with supports at 150% - 200/50 - infill 15% very little cleaning needed. I used acrylic paints (dry brushing), then I stained and cleaned off the stain right away so it wouldn't get too dark but I wanted to highlight the details, and finally a layer of clear gloss enamel on the eyes. I also used a Flex-Seal coating in Groot's head
Printed two sizes to hold stuff next to my 3D printer. I’ll paint them someday. Printed on an Wanhao i3 Plus, 20% infill with Polymaker’s PolyPlus PLA.

Print came out great! Took almost 24 hours. Printed at .1mm layer height and 214 degree nozzle, 58 degree bed. Had a blast painting it and found a little plant to put in it. Kinda wish I had tested the clear coat first... a little too glossy for my taste (made everything a bit too dark as well) but still an all around awesome little project.
Printed for my wife, mothers day gift.
My boyfriend printed out these Groots on his Hypercube Evolution. I am a huge Groot fan and loved every minute of painting your wonderful designs! I haven't decided what plant to put in him yet

This was printed using wood filament and then painted. It makes a really cute succulent garden. Overall awesome print!
Very nice !!!!! Thanks Thanks Thanks
awesome design! Thank you very much!
A great model. Liney bits on the head are due to a filament snag, but went ahead and painted. Sprayed with matt clear coat after. Printed a mini watering can to go with. 7yo son pleased with it.
I printed this in Wood PLA. Came out awesome. At this size, it was about 12 hours on an Artileray Sidewinder. Took a lot of clean-up to get all the support stuff off and the little strings. But it sanded very nicely. I'm hoping the wood pla will take stain.
Printed with Wood PLA. At this size was bout 8 or more hours. Lots of tough clean up for the supports, but came out very nice. The wood PLA sands very well.
