The only reason to have this object, is to admire its interesting and simple aesthetic.
The intriguing geometrical properties of a five sided 'diamond' shape allow for it to be made into a spherical approximation.
The fallthrough hole in the base of the object is the shape of one of the faces in order to allow this to be placed flat on a surface for display, or a post could be made for it to go on top of in a way that the intersection doesn't allow for rotation. Note, removing the support material from the fallthrough hole with FDM printing is somewhat tricky - it is not neccessary if you are finding it too difficult
Volume: 4700mm^3
Print at 0.2 mm layer height, with 10% infill. This uses 46 g of filament and takes 8 hours and 50 minutes.
