This face of the monument which represents different steps of the progress of justice, here shows a strong woman, able to serve justice alone. Of course she is an allegory, as proved by the inscription below: "Justice, able to stand alone, administers by the Sword". Here, Justice has acquired an independent and commanding presence, with minimum trappings.
