This public sculpture represents a traditional Russian worker, holding a jar, from which water gushes and s fish comes alive. The character is unclear but may be the emblem of rebirth and nature in Russia.
The Museum and exhibition complex of the Russian Academy of Arts “Zurab Tsereteli`s Art Gallery” was opened in March 2001. The Dolgorukovs` House where the gallery is located has enfilades of remarkable vaulted halls of the first level, which have kept architectural space of XVIII century and a number of magnificent grand halls of the second level decorated in the middle of XIX century. It is perfectly well fitted to the exposition needs with many various halls and covered courtyards to display fine artworks. Scale Russian and international exhibitions devoted to all kinds of fine art, architecture and design are held in the new exhibition center. Moreover, constant global display of the art treasures accumulated in collections of Academy during its overall history is conducted.
