3D model description

Saturn V launcher from the Apollo 15 mission

AS 510 mission

Pack 3/4: the S4b floor

Includes supports for the various elements in horizontal position.

There's no longer any need to introduce this pitcher that marked the history of the twentieth century.

David R. Scott, James B. Irwin and Alfred M. Worden made up the crew of Apollo 15, the first lunar mission to carry the Lunar Roving Vehicle.

They lifted off on July 26, 1971, alunis on July 30, 1971 and amerris on August 7, 1971.

The command module is named Endeavour, and the lunar module, Falcon.

The model shown here is at 1/60th scale.

Measures 1.82 m high

Weighs approximately 3 kgs

Has 656 parts

The download comes in 4 packs so you can build this model step by step.

Pack 1/4, the S1C floor

Pack 2/4, S2 floor

Pack 3/4, floor S4b

Pack 4/4, Apollo ship

Printing doesn't require any supports. Or at least, these are already provided for.

The thickness of the first coat is recommended at 0.2mm.

Layer heights can vary from 0.10 to 0.2 mm. For some small parts, 0.05 mm layers may be chosen.

In many cases, a brim will be required.

Thin walls are 0.87 mm, corresponding to 2 nozzle passes in 0.4 mm. In this case, filling will be maintained at 0% and a single perimeter will be selected.

Bonding is recommended using cyanoacrylate glue. 12 tubes of 3g are required.

The model can be built without painting. However, some suggestions for painting are given in the assembly instructions.

If you prefer to paint all the parts yourself, then some parts are available already assembled, ready to paint.

Also available with Pack 1, the STL file of the complete rocket and an F1 engine, so you can print it in one piece on a small scale.

May this model bring you as much pleasure as it brought me in building and admiring it!
