####Table Corner Bumper, Guard,Protector: Simple & Useful (TPU Flexible Filament Recommended)

This is intended for an entry-level design project. Everywhere we go, there seem to be some table corners that are rough. I do have a table in the lab with worn-out edges (see figure), too big to get rid of. So I went ahead and made a corner protector, about 80mm x 80mm x width. I printed two using TPU flexible filament at 0.4 mm resolution. With the help of some gorilla glue, they solved my problem. Upon further reflection, I think this might be a good starting design project for K-12 students. Send them around to find a table (or a similar problem) to apply their STEM knowledge.

For immediate use, I created a few with a range of widths. Please try to use a slightly wider one.

####To design one

There are a few methods, which is why this can be a meaningful project for students. (1) Just sketch a few rectangles and extrude; (2) Use two rectangular prisms for cutting (combining); (3) Take advantage of the symmetry--design one half and then reflect. Of course, one wants to round the edges a little bit. In short, design is problem solving!
