3D model description

I designed this body to hold a camera in the third person view and rotate the view with a headtracker and a 9g servo. The headtracker will only work with another radio and components beyond the $50 WLtoys model car. It should fit (K969 K979 K989 K999 P929 P939) models as long as the rims and tires will not bind on the body.

My car is a p929. I replaced the stock wheels and tires with drift ones and extended the wheelbase with the extra part that was included in my kit (thanks WLtoys!).

There is a clip-in spot inside the passenger door area for an Eachine ATX-03. There is a spot at the front for a small battery for the vtx and camera, I use turnigy nanotech 300mah with plastic casing removed. The camera mount is for a Runcam Nano.

Parts list:
WLToys 1/28 RC car with drift wheels/tires
Standard towerpro style 9g servo
Eachine ATX03
RunCam Nano
Small 1s battery for video system
The lights are all 3mm LEDs, 6 in the rear and 4 in the front.

Thanks for looking!

*UPDATE 11/26/18 * - Added files for driver side vtx configuration. This should keep the vtx away from the heat of the motor.

3D printing settings

"Moused" model has some mouse ears on the corners to help bed adhesion. These should be removed with the support material. There is also a thin lip on the "moused" model across the rear bottom of the body that should be removed.

Print all models with supports except for the bumper. The bumper should also be rotated so that there are no overhangs. I printed the bumper in flexible filament.

Happy Printing!
