3D model description

Hello, and thank you for viewing my Thing!

I bought my little girl a Strider Balance bike (Strider 12 Pro), after her first ride, even though she loved her new bike, she couldn't continue riding because her legs were so sore. I wondered why and took a look, just to see that her legs had been 'sanded rough' by the strip of poorly positioned skateboard tape on top of the chain stays. On top of that, I realized that there's nothing to protect the pain (Steel) from scratches when dropped, the blunt of the numerous falls is meant to be taken by the chain stays which of course, will then quickly rust...
Annoyed by this, I contacted Strider asking if this was bad engineering or just a production mistake. The reply I got was snappy at best, first claiming that I had set the seat high wrong and that my little girl had just bad positioning. When I asked if they offered covers for this I was told that they'd rather not offer "Cosmetic upgrades" like that to keep costs low... yet on their website you can purchase a silly CAPE for kids to wear... Shake my head.

So after a bit of measuring and tinkering on Fusion 360, I came up with these covers.
I tried printing them in PLA and Flex (too flexible flex did not work out! but the stiffer version was fine). I ended up using the PLA after giving it a couple of covers of spray paint. They work GREAT! Not only do they protect my girl from scratching her little legs, but they'll also protect the paint from all those falls :)

I printed these with no supports what so ever, just .2 layer height and Go! :D
