IMPORTANT: I recommend that you PLEASE SCALE +2-4%! (102% - 104%) and read the print settings - particularly if you are printing with materials that shrink/warp a lot to ensure a good fit.

I designed this (for the first time) to match my wall thickness and specific print settings. I realized that even though if I print with a particular brand of PLA the fit is nothing but perfect. However, other materials or other brands of PLA that shrink more will be 'too snug'. I'd recommend that on your first try, print it at + 3% scale and see how that fits! (Both the box and the lid!).

Other materials might need more or less scaling, so please share your experience!

A while ago I designed and uploaded a .22 LR ammo box that was very well received.

Almost instantly I got requests to make a 9mm version of it. And I said I would. I thought it'd be just adjusting the old one but that wasn't the case, so designed this one from scratch, keeping a similar modeling style.

This will fit 50x standard 9mm ammo rounds. I also designed a 'clicky' system of notches so it should be easy to dispense 10rds at a time.

3D printing settings

My recommended print settings:
- Minimum 2 perimeters
- at least 4 top and bottom layers
- 10-15% infill
- 0.15-0.25mm layer height
- PETG or PLA
- Printing the lid 'standing up (with the 'end' facing the bed) will give you a more durable lid, since the flex will happen perpendicular to the printing layers instead of alongside it. This is recommended if printing with 'weaker' types of materials or materials that are too rigid or offer poor layer adhesion.
