3D model description

I have seen many different rigs for Kinect or ASUS Xtion scanners. Most of them required a massive tower structure to allow for the vertical adjustment of the scanner.

To improve my current 3D scanning setup using my existing tripod, I came up with this idea of incorporating an off-the-shelf shower sliding bar with a standard shelving unit back support, to allow for the vertical adjustment while the entire build can still be kept minimal and portable.

I know the parts that I designed won't fit everyone else's tripod, and it depends on what you can find from your local hardware store, but I think with minor tweaking they should work for you as well.
