3D model description

Made for people who use wired Earphones while out and about to keep their cables under control and out of harms way...

Whether you're listening to your music on your mobile device while commuting to/from work, out for a run or at the gym you really don't want your Earphone cable flying round, which is a nuisance, and is a safety risk because it may catch on things located nearby. This simple little clip is a great super low cost solution to keep yourself, your cable and your mobile device safe and the earphones in your ear (... and less likely to be pulled out as you move).

The clip is small so uses very little filament to print. It attaches onto any earphone cables (refer to images for fitting instructions) and once attached will not come off without reversing the process. The cable will however slide freely through the clip.

The clip works by being attached to the users clothing similar to attaching a (mini) peg that has a slot in one end for the cable to slide back and forth through. With the clip attached to the cable just clip it onto you shirt, shorts, jacket, jeans etc. to stop your cable from flying around which can be a nuisance and dangerous.

You can print these clips in next to no time and at minimal cost. Once installed on your cable they are just there for when you want them. They weigh only a few grams.

The clip has a surprising wide and strong bite for such a small print (Requires high infill). It will bite onto anything up to approx. 4mm wide and down to almost 0mm thickness.. However, when attaching a clip to very thin materials it is recommended to bunch the material slightly to ensure a good bite is achieved so the clip will stay secure.

This clip is super easy to print and use. If you ever use wired earphones with your mobile device while moving around this is worth having. Print some for yourself or great little things to give to friends, family or workmates. Improves safety, is practical and very handy....

As with any PLA 3D print the bite will weaken over time through use and it could break in the longer term. However, it's such a quick, small and low cost print just print another one or a batch.

The Earphone Cable Clip can also be used to clip your cable onto things to store them away when not in use.

Some mobile phone cables have a small clip, but not many, so if you are using wired earphones print and install one or two of these on your cable to keep it under control.

Please refer to the images and print instructions for additional information.... and post images of your Earphone Cable Clip in use for other members to see,
