3D model description

The ' Donut' is a container is a simple solution for safely storing watches, bracelets and chains a home or when travelling. In reality it's just a round container with a cap that is secured on with just a 90 degree turn however the hole through the centre adds a novel look but also helps keep things like chains and bracelets in their natural round / oval shape.

This is an easy two part print (base and cap) with two versions available to accommodate different size watches / chains /bracelets.

Sizes are:

Standard - Will accommodate most watches / bracelets / chains. The inside diameter is approx. 70mm and internal height is 45mm.

Large (L) - 10 mm larger in diameter at 80mm and 5mm taller at 52mm.

'Donut Containers can be printed in your choice of color/s... using a different color for the base and cap looks good so get creative... great as a small gift as well. .

Remove the raft and clean up any small print imperfections (particularly in the joining surfaces) and your 'Donut' container is ready to use. Just insert your watch / bracelet / chain then put the cap on. Slide the cap down into the locking channel then rotate it 90 degrees to close/secure.

Note: The clearances applied between the joining surfaces should provide a snug fit when sliced with a well set up slicing app and printed on a precise/accurate machine. No post processing should be necessary.

However, if your print is tight in these areas a light spray of silicone in these areas should make them slide smoothly. If it is 'tight' a quick sand with very fine sandpaper should help make the surfaces rotate easier.

Please refer to the images and print instructions for additional information. And, please post images of your 'Donut' Containers in use for others to see.
