3D model description

Wall towel holder.

I recycled 13mm metal bars from an old stand that I no longer used, but you can use bars up to 15mm in diameter.

The racks can accommodate 2 bars to put 2 towels, but if the diameter of your bars is too large, too thick towels may not fit (in this case it is better to put only 1 bar). I was afraid that the overhang was too large and that the PLA would not resist, that's why I didn't make a larger gap.

For the assembly, it is necessary to print 2 supports and the 4 dolphins. Dolphins are glued on the supports (neoprene glue is good). I put a color code in the dolphins' names, with an image of the assembly to better understand the principle:

  • the 2 outdoor dolphins (yellow and blue) are not perforated and have 2 pins that center themselves in 2 small holes in the supports

  • the 2 indoor dolphins (green and red) have the same pimples, but have holes to pass the bars

  • The brackets are fixed on a wall with 2 screws.

-You can lock the bars with 2 screws from above the brackets.

It has been several months since I installed it, nothing to report in terms of strength.
