3D model description

Tupolev Tu-22M Backfire

Strategic supersonic Russian bomber with variable sweep wings developed in the 60y and still in service with VVS and Naval Air Force.
This aircraft maintains the Tu-22 name as its predecessor, the Tu-22 Blinder, but it's a completely different airplane.
Capable to fly for long distances carrying cruise missiles for strategic attacks or for anti ship missions; the primary goal for the Tu-22Ms of Russian Naval Aviation was to strike western aircraft carriers.
Early variants (Tu-22M2) were capable of a maximum speed near mach 1.8 but the new Tu-22M3 introduced in 1989 with new engines, 65° of max sweep angle and air intakes MiG-25-alike, could reach mach 2.

Models scale 1:100 represent the Tu-22M2 and the Tu-22M3 variants. Four wing sweep settings for each variant :
20° for take off and landing
30° for climb and subsonic cruise
50° for low level transonic flight
60° (M2) / 65° (M3) for supersonic flight
Also the KH-22 (AS-4 Kitchen) missiles are provided as separated models; if you want to mount them use the flatten one for the belly the other for the wings pylons.
Use the image attached as reference for missiles positioning.

Test model printed at 1:285 with 0.2mm nozzle (but still sliceable with 0.4mm nozzle and 1:300 scale) and 0.12 mm layers.
Print test made with a Ender3 as shown in the image taken from PrusaSlicer2.
