3D model description

A minimal design desk lamp made out of copper pipes, and adjustable in every direction; it is made for led stripes that are turned on and off by a relay, and there is space for a touch sensor, everything controlled by Arduino (you could also use a flip flop IC). If you want, you can also make it a smart desk lamp adding a Wi-Fi module to Arduino.

For this project you will need:

  • 6 flat head M3*10mm bolts
  • 2 3mm*15mm screws
  • 2 M4*10mm bolts and nuts
  • 450mm*18mm and 100mm*18mm copper pipes (it can also be of different material)
  • Led stripe
  • Cables
  • DC jack connector
  • Touch sensor
  • Relay
  • Arduino (Nano)
  • 7805 voltage regulator (for powering Arduino)
  • Power supply (for the led stripes and the Arduino)

3D printing settings

You can print all the files with a 0.1mm to 0.2mm layer height, 2-3 perimeters, and 30%-50% infill; you don't need to enable the supports.
