3D model description

The moment she thought of the cake shop, Zoe threw herself into the air, surrendering to gravity. As she fell, she expanded her consciousness to form a portal. Instantly, one emerged below her that connected to the other place. She let herself fall through the doorway. Its mass collided and collapsed as it traveled.

It tickles.

Unfortunately, Zoe didn't show up where she wanted to. Instead, she emerged from a second portal just a few steps away, propelled through the air by the momentum of her earlier descent. Then, after a brief period of balancing, she was dragged back to the second portal. Once again, time and space twisted around her, like a great whistle (as she would describe it), before she was thrown back to where she began. Both portals folded into space and disappeared.

A powerful magic was distorting Zoe's ability to travel. It probably had to do with the change she was supposed to announce... which, of course, she hadn't done yet. It was a problem, but not an unknown one. She wasn't sure what the message was, who it was for, or even what it meant, but, in her experience, those details were almost never relevant. The sacred mathematics wanted to move forward, and usually the messages fitted into place soon after their arrival. Zoe believed this was one of the great advantages of being an aspect.

Of course, now there was the question of what to do while I was waiting. Zoe looked around. By a nearby tree, she detected a small, furry creature with a big tail. It was similar to a small yordle, although she noticed that the creature's connection to the spirit world was rather tiny.

In an instant, Zoe's mind glimpsed the entire life of the little animal. It would only live a dozen more rotations of its planet before returning to its spirit. To her, the fleeting nature of his life made him even more lovable. Zoe jumped up and ran towards him.

"How sweet!

The tiny animal climbed the tree to get away from her.

"Hey, come back!" said Zoe, accompanied by the start of a pout.

Without stopping, Zoe created a time bubble, which rotated only halfway around the planet, before throwing it into the tree. The anomaly bounced back before exploding into the tree trunk.

For a second, the adorable animal's past merged with the present. The night sky covered the area and twilight butterflies fluttered around it. The little creature was overcome by the deep sleep of the previous night as its spiritual past and state of mind overwhelmed its present consciousness.

Zoe abandoned gravity for a moment and floated to the branches where she stopped next to the tiny animal. Her hand wavered for a moment on top of its velvety fur. She knew that as soon as she touched the creature, the spell would be broken.

"Zoe's a friend," she whispered. But as soon as she touched the tiny animal's head, she woke up suddenly and walked away from it in a panic.

With a whimper of disappointment, Zoe floated even higher before she turned her head. She considered visiting Aurelion Sol after she finished her business here. The dragon didn't like being petted either. But, in her opinion, it was easier to catch Aurelion without hurting him. This idea lost importance when his new perspective allowed him to see beyond the hills and spot a village on the horizon.

He created a portal to the village and immersed himself in it. But, once again, Zoe could only create an entrance a few feet away. Worse still, she collapsed just like before and drove her back to her starting point.

The summer lawn seemed inviting and, not having a better option, he walked through the forest to the village.

He arrived on the outskirts of the walled town when the sun began to set. Hearing laughter, he dismissed gravity for a second and floated on one of the village rooftops.

In the central courtyard, half a dozen mortals were playing. They were about Zoe's size, unlike the children and adults she had recently encountered on her journey around the planet.

One of the boys was chasing one of the girls in a circle. They were both laughing. The rules of the game were not clear.

Zoe focused on the girl's beautiful red dress, wondering if the coloring represented anything. Although it wasn't part of the game, Zoe liked it. The girl seemed taller than the others, and Zoe felt that maybe this girl could learn things that she needed to learn.

The male was also interesting, but in a completely different way. I could tell that his current incarnation would live only a short time, but Zoe suspected that he would feel incredible if she were the one being pursued. There was something wonderful about his chin and the shape of his lips.

He swallowed saliva nervously. After all, it had been a long time since Zoe was mortal. In fact, she couldn't remember when she last visited this realm. Interestingly, she was concerned that the group would not accept her and that she would be excluded from whatever it was they were playing.

Two of the guys, definitely the less interesting ones, started kicking a ball around with each other. Zoe remembered that game.

Encouraged by that connection, Zoe came down from the roof and landed in the middle of the group.

"Hello!" she said, changing her hair to a color that emulated the tall girl's dress.

"A spirit," said the interesting boy, opening his eyes wide. Then he shouted, "Run!

Zoe felt she had to point out that it was an aspect, not a spirit, but she wasn't sure if the scream was part of the rules of the other game.

"Actually, I came here with a message. "But if you want to play, I have plenty of time," he said before he started chasing them.

Then he flew, as casually as he could, to stand next to the tall girl.

"Your red dress is so cool! Does the color mean anything?" Zoe asked. But her attempt to start a conversation was in vain. As she spoke, the interesting boy pulled the tall girl into a house. Then he slammed the heavy wooden door and blocked Zoe's path.

She glanced around and noticed that the other mortals had disappeared in a similar fashion, but a commotion could be heard coming from the center of the village.

A moment later, a dozen men in armor came running towards Zoe with spears at their sides. They reminded her of Pantheon's weapon.

Local guardians, he guessed.

Thinking Zoe was a spirit, they shouted warnings at her as their leader tried to invoke a banishment spell. Zoe thought it was a very good spell, but not exactly one she wanted. She wondered if, perhaps, spirits often infested the village.

When the men began to throw their weapons at Zoe, she created an arcane meteor and flew it in a circle around the fortress. Then, the twilight girl created a pair of portals to dodge the guards' spears before redirecting the shooting star at her attackers.

The meteor's impact caused an implosion that created a chain reaction with the small particles it had collected during its trajectory. This generated a secondary explosion that thundered through the guards and their tower, devastating the area, leaving behind only a fine dust.

"Hello?", Zoe asked as the clouds of destruction swirled around her. She wondered if the tall girl or the interesting boy had run away. It seemed likely.

For a second, Zoe was discouraged, but decided that later she would visit a larger deadly settlement. Maybe in a place like that she'd find someone willing to play with her.

Zoe remembered where there was a... city a couple of millennia ago. Despite her previous failures and trusting her instincts, she poured her will into creating a portal in that direction. She was pleasantly surprised when the entrance opened in the destination she desired.

"Oh, great," she said, happy to be traveling again and eager to deliver her next message.

As Zoe stepped out of reality, she wondered if the new crater would lead some mortals to find the nearby Geogenic Rune. The tall girl or the interesting guy could be the ones to discover it.

He decided it would be funny if they did.
