3D model description

There's something for everyone, I like it, na!

This large bulb is made of one piece, the bulb is split into three parts that can be flexibly moved apart to place a real functional bulb inside. The base of the bulb is screwed onto a real socket that can be found in DIY stores.

For printing, the 3 "petals" of the bulb are joined together with small segments that must be cut off after printing to be able to insert the light bulb. Without them, the bulb would be too flexible and would move during printing, especially with PETG which tends to stick to the printer head.

You also need a support column in the center to support the most upside down part of the bulb. Everything fits into the maximum print volume of the MicroDelta Rework (with heating plate).

The dimensions of the socket used :

  • Body diameter: 40mm

  • Max outside diameter to connect with the bulb: 58mm

You don't like it? Nevermind, I do ;-)

A support column is also needed in the centre to support the most horizontal part of the top of the bulb. Everything fits into the maximum print volume of the MicroDelta Rework (with heat bed).

The socket must be 40mm (a little less) diameter on the threaded outer diameter, and 58mm on the maximum diamter to link the bulb base.
