This large stone (probably granite) statue depicts two abstract figures. It was sculpted by Jean Charles Desmet in 1965 and was made as a gift for the city. The sculpure is titled 'The mother and the child', the headless child leans against the larger figure, his mother, with his arms raised against her. The sculpture is on permanent display.
This object is part of "Scan The World".
