3D model description

If you need .step or .f3z files refer to this link:

The FP-69 Grass Snake V2 is a long awaited upgrade to the older FP-68 model. It keeps a compact form and comes with numerous new features including a mag release, swappable nose pieces and a highly streamlined and optimized mechanism. Be it a standalone blaster system in a heated HvZ battle, or a companion to a high-FPS primary, the Snake always has your back.

Assembly instructions included in the files.

Hardware list:
- Pair of micro flywheels: FTW or Cabanossi works (not tested with higher crush Cabanossis)
- A pair of motors of choice. Honeybadgers seem to work best.
- 4 M2x4-3mm screws for fitting the motors
- Some M2.5 self tapping screws of varying length. Use 15mm or so for locking the switch and trigger, the rest can be 10mm long. You can also salvage these screws from many Nerf blasters.
- 0.4x4 mm compression spring for the mag catch. I personally pick up a really long one and cut to length that I need.
- 0.4x4 mm extension spring for the trigger. Again, cut to the length that you need.
- Other springs might fit too but these are the ones I used
- Wiring and a connector of choice.
- SS5 microswitch.

I'm also including files for a custom magazine, but to get the follower and instructions, you'll need to look up Thanhlon mags on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3460408

Feedback is very much welcome and though I might not be able to respond to everyone, I read everything. If you run into issues, I'll do my best to help.

I should also note that selling the blaster without permission is illegal. If you are a seller interested in selling and manufacturing Grass Snakes, please contact me directly.

3D printing settings

  • .15-.25 Layer height
  • Tree supports reccomended, will save you lots of headache.
  • Cura slicer recommended (that's what I used)
  • You will have to orient the pieces yourself.
  • Small printer should be enough - 20x20cm bed works, you might even be able to get away with 15x15cm or less.
  • You will need to sand the little surface that touches the dart on BatFloor
  • Be sure your bed isn't too high as BatFloor has some thin surfaces
  • Pins will probably need to be sanded down a bit. I've made them slightly larger on purpose to ensure a snug fit.
