3D model description

I want to share with you my Filament Joiner!
It's easy to use tool, which help you to join short parts of filament (everyone, who using Bowden, know about that problem 😊). You can also merge different colours of filaments to make rainbow objects 😊 Ofcourse, remember about using that same type and manufacturer of filamentu. You need ca 40 mm PTFE tube (that same, which you using at your printer), sandpaper and sharp knife to remove thickening of the material at welding place.

How to build:
1. Print STL files.
2. When that is printing, you have got a time to prepare PTFE tube. Take ca. 40 mm. Leave one side straight, second cut off small part of them at 45 degree angle. After that, cut one wall lengthwise. See instruction.
3. Assembly everything like in the pictures.

How to welding filament:

What you need to joining: tea candle, sand paper, sharp blade.
How to join filament?
1. Mount tool at table/desk.
2. Prepare filament, which you want to join.
3. Light up the candle.
4. Put one filament into PTFE tube.
5. Heat up filament ends (as long, as material start melding)
6. When material start melding, merge two materials together and quickly pul lit into PTFE tube.
7. Take off PTFE from welding block and after that take off tube from merged filaments.
8. Remove excess of material by blade and use sandpaper to adjust oval (roundness)

That’s all. Leave comment, share and visit my Instagram 😊
