3D model description

This is a little interlocking design I made to organize a collection of small homemade Sriracha eyedroppers. I was inspired by another design I saw recently on this site and decided to make my own to suit my purposes.

I designed this as a "cheap" design I could use to calibrate my machine as well as be something I could print over and over, and not mind having too many extras.

The interior hole is designed to be a bit wider than 1" in diameter, and 7/8" deep. The overall size is about 1"h X 1.41"w X 1.41"d. The dovetails I had to play with their size a bit to get them to go together easy enough. Using the settings I have on the instructions page, I was able to print these so they were flexible enough to snap apart without damaging the dovetails. I haven't experimented further, once i found some settings that worked well, I ran with it.

Let me know what you think or if there's any other details you'd like.

Thanks Cracky for the inspiration.

Enjoy!

3D printing settings

I printed the ones in the photos on a SeeMeCNC Rostock MAX v2 I put together from a kit. I used white PLA on all the ones in the photos, as well, I used MatterControl to act as the printing program. Here are the settings I used:

  • Nozzle: 0.35mm
  • Layer Thickness: 0.2mm
  • Perimeter #: 2
  • Top Surfaces: 4
  • Bottom Surfaces: 3
  • Infill: Lines, 10%
  • Nozzle Temp: 225C
  • Bed Temp: 60C
  • Print Speed: no more than 60mm/s (I've included my settings in teh files)

There's some more specific settings, but I didn't try to push the speed of my printer on this design.

A single one with these settings takes about 45 minutes to complete.
