3D model description

The M8 Avenger rifle from Mass Effect 3, full scale for Cosplay or Display purposes. I'm a die hard fan of the Mass Effect series and after finishing my M5 Phallanx pistol I decided I needed a bigger, better monument to my favourite fandom.

Designed from scratch to be easily printed in small parts, with little or no supports, simplifying the sanding and painting process. Largest part is 235mm long (could easily be split if you have a small printer), most are approx. 100-150mm. I've also included the entire gun in 1 part or split down the middle if you have other ideas in mind, go bananas. I've added a colour coded photo of all the model split up so you can see all the pieces to print

Full gun assembled is 668x262x62mm. I designed this gun based on my proportions (adult male), if you are a bit smaller, I'd suggest scaling down a bit. You can print the part "1 Trigger Grip" first to test how the grip and trigger fit in your hand. The stock is also designed to be able to slide in and out for adjustment so you can get your shoulder offset right before gluing it into place.

Most hidden mating surfaces have registration holes, holes are 2mm diameter for using 1.75mm filament offcuts in. Everything should fit together tightly, I've left 0.2mm tolerances on all fitted parts

In the .Zip a part called "26 BoltHead x38", this is an added embellishment I intended to print 38x of and insert them into all the bolt holes but in the end I decided it really didnt need them. I've included them so you can make the decision

There's also a pretty basic front and rear stand included (see photo). I used a different version that fits specific to the channel of my desk/shelf. I can't 100% confirm this version wont fall over if free standing, hence why I added some holes for screws/bolts. Use at your own risk :)

The model with the gun in the photos is @Armada.Cosplay on IG, follow her to see more of my props in action

If you make one of my designs, I'd love to see it! Please DM or Tag me on Instagram (@asgardian_armoury) or Reddit (u/Asgardian_Armoury)

V1.1 Update:
Based on feedback from a user with access to the actual 3D models ripped directly from the ME3 game files, it was pointed out that the taper on on bottom of my foregrip was a little too narrow compared to the actual Avenger model.
I've since updated the parts "2 ForeGrip1.stl" and "3 ForeGrip2.stl" to more closely match the screenshot of the game model.
If you are concerned about perfect game accuracy you can print "2 ForeGrip1_V1-1_Widened.stl" and "3 ForeGrip2_V1-1_Widened.stl" instead.
However, please note I have not printed the V1.1 files myself, the model shown in my pictures is the original STL files.
I've also included a widened version of the front stand to suit the new models. Choose the front stand that matches the ForeGrip files you have printed
