3D model description

4 models of drivers to sit in our beloved SLOT cars.

I was inspired by the helmets that equipped the racers of the 1950s and the Mille Miglia, those without glasses for the interior driving.

Due to lack of space, it is also possible to cut the bust at the arms for the cockpit with the engine under the pilot.

There's

  • A pilot with half-long hair.

  • A bearded man with MM glasses and helmet

  • One with MM glasses and helmets

  • One without MM goggles and helmet

3D printing settings

I print with an ORANGE30, so it's a RESIN printer, with an exposure time of 10 seconds and the first 6 layers at 100 seconds (to be adapted according to the resin used and the type of printer).

Normally the default supports proposed by CHITUBOX are good, the arms do not need supports, I tilt the objects slightly by 15Β°.

The drivers are hollow, that's why there is a hole in the lower back to evacuate the resin.

WARNING FOR A FILAMENT PRINTER, I will put the pilot on the BACK to have a contact with the print bed, and this for RC scales, like 1/18 1/6 etc...pilot height more than 45 mm...

It is imperative to set the scale according to the cars, in general I set the driver's height to 26 mm for 1/32 cars.

For the 1/24 a height of 30 mm should be suitable.
