3D model description

This is a crescent shaped moon shelf. It is 2" deep with 4 different shelf compartments with different widths. The moon has two holes for # 4 woodscrews aligned with the center of gravity of the print to allow for heavier items like crystals/gemstones to be stored on a wall, altar, shrine, etc.

Fill it with all of your favorite gemstones!

3D printing settings

The moon was designed to take up most of the space of an Ender 3 print bed. If you struggle with bed level issues you will struggle to print this. You should consider laying down a layer of elmers glue to make sure the first layer adheres properly and the mounting holes get laid down nice and crisp on the first pass. Elmers glue will also allow the end corners to stay adhered to the bed.

(NOTE: I went through 3 different attempts with this without glue because the corners kept warping off of the bed and colliding with the nozzle.) First layer: 215C/60C/0% cooling, 48mm/s print speed 2nd layer on: 205C/55C (or slightly less), 100% cooling, 100mm/s print speed. This took every bit of 16 hours to print. If you enable ironing, you won't have to sand the back wall of the shelf.
