RC AIR BOAT MOTOR COWLING

These are the files you will need to print to make yourself your very own RC air boat.
an RC air boat is the cheapest thing you can do in the RC hobby because of the limited number of parts you need. you have no drive train with cogs or wheels that can break.
so not only are RC air boats cheap but also reliable and fun.
To build this boat you will need something that float's, i recommend getting an old boogie board. then print out the files click the cowling to the base, glue on the rudder mounts, clip and bolt on the rudders. get some wire for linking the rudders together. bolt on a brush-less motor, attach propeller. plug in an esc (speed controller) hook up a servo and radio. Then go to a body of water somewhere and test out your new fun machine.
i have found that it only turns at slow speeds, which is just like the real thing.
to have even more fun make 2 like i did so that you can race your friends, or even play chaise!!

I designed the cowling to be printed flat so that you use no support.
but this made it not very strong so i designed a base that it clips into.
you can use this cowling part in many other configurations to!
If you print 2 you could use differential thrust to steer your boat,
and then you would have twice the speed!
or you could put the cowling on a trolley and have a drift machine!!!
or instead of using a base piece put 2 cowlings back to back.!!!
