Cursive letter tiles to write your first name, words...

Every day, at the reception desk, my students (GS) write their first names on the board next to their pictures. We write with erasable felt pen in capitals or with magnetic script letters. I couldn't find any beautiful cursive letters with magnets. I have tested the printable magnetic papers but they are too fragile. And it took too many a's (about forty minimum) for my Montessori letter set. So I decided to create my own magnetic cursive letters. We use them before moving on to the cursive writing itself.

Students discriminate better against each letter because if they "attach", they are also separated by spaces (linked to the hanging ends of the letters). Those who are lost because of the chain of letters, who do not know where a letter begins and ends, locate themselves better and associate them better with the other writings.

They also memorize the order of the letters, associate them with their names and with the capital letters and scripts they already know.

They also identify the individual form of each letter before moving on to the written stage.

I print them in different colours, so that it's more fun. It can also be played in Montessori colours (red for vowels and blue for consonants).

Attention! Exceptionally, there are no capital letters in the first name!

The 26 letters of the alphabet + é,è ë. For the other letters with accent, you can trace them to the Posca on the tile.

Special tiles for vowels, L and R when they follow V, W and B.

Two s: one with a hook to attach another letter behind, one without a hook for the s in word ending.
