3D model description

Bird feeder made from PET-bottle and 3D-printed parts.

The bottle screws on to the "roof", which also functions as a funnel for pouring in the seeds. The bottom part screws on to the roof from the other side, providing access to the seeds.

To use the 3D-printed hook, drill a 9mm hole in the bottom of the PET-bottle and insert the hook. You can of course use a metal screw in hook as well.

To fill the PET-bottle with seeds, just unscrew the bottom, turn the feeder around and fill with seeds. Then screw the bottom back on and return the feeder to your feathered friends.

Since the neck of the PET-bottle is pretty narrow, the feeder works best with smaller seeds.

3D printing settings

Standard PLA settings, 0.2mm layer height, 15-20% infill, 200 degrees.
