3D model description

Modular life counter with clicking sound

Prepared for 0.4 nozzle
3,6cm tall
With smaller nozzle you can print it smaller too (f.ex . with 0,2mm print with 50% model size)

One counter is made of:

  • stand1 + stand2
  • center + ring (or thin center + thin ring) - use as many as you want
  • additional separator, if you want it (print one less than number of rings) - better to print it with different colour
  • additional middle parts (stand-mid). To support the counter when using more digitis (maybe with 6 and more)

Normal and thin centers are compatible so you can use like normal-thin-normal or thin-thin-normal-normal etc. Just remember to print the same size rings as centers

Stands and centers can be glued together, but you dont need to (at least with few rings and with proper printer settings)
On 21 XII 2020 update I changed it to snap-in joints. If it is too hard to push in or its too lose compensate the size with 'Horizontal expansion' (Cura) / 'XY compensation' (PS/SS) option

Two ring sizes, normal and thin.
Both with carved or domed numbers.

Stand versions:
normal (without additional name, with counter on top)
angled
Both simple or carved (additional decoration on back - use left-right lines for bottom layers)
and 'gear' with different look (still with normal, angled and carved versions)

On photos:

  • normal stand with thin rings and separator
  • carved stand with normal rings

Update 21 XII 2020
Improved joints (now it will snap-in and should stay like that) - print-tested on my second printer
Added new additional version of stands

Update 07 III 2021
Reuploaded all the files. Some had small model errors that could cause problems

Update 27 XI 2022
Added middle parts of stand for longer counters (with more than 5 digits)

3D printing settings

Printed with 0,2mm layer height (smaller will look a little better) without any supports.

Last print test were made with 10% infill (lines) and it works fine. Use more for more strenght.
