3D model description

Simple paste extruder made of MDF with a CNC.

Done some initial tests extruding sugar icing and this looks promising! There will be a lot of trial and error and calibration of the different nozzles.

I also think that some of the movable parts of the extruder must be replaced by a tougher material than MDF as it is quite tough load as the motor presses the material out of the syringe. Considering either to 3d print this part or make it in plywood (or maybe aluminium).

Manufacturing settings

Attached are all the SVG files needed to create the CNC-parts of the machine. Note that in the picture the mount holes for the Nema17 are missing - forgot to define drilling in makercam!

The pieace "extrude_movable_ends" must be milled twice.

The files are created for 10mm MDF plates and are designed to be milled with 3mm diameter bit.

In addition you need

4 x 230mm 8mm rods

1 608 bearing

4 x LM8UU 8mm Linear Bushing for the movable part/slider

1 8mm threaded rod

1 M8 bolt for the sliding axis

1 NEMA 17

Some M6 nuts and bolts

Some M5 nuts and bolts to join the three movable parts (there are 4 screwholes for this). .
