3D model description

A Darkmantle for 28mm tabletop roleplaying. The creature is scaled to be a small creature in DnD terms.

The Darkmantle is probably one of the Underdark's least deadly creatures. Sure it is a horrifying flying octopus that pretends to be a stalactite until an unwitting person walks below. At which point it drops down, wraps it's tentacles around their neck and begins to chew through the top of their head. But for the Underdark that's kind of timid.

Be wary, the tentacles on this are very small so an FDM printer will need to be on it's A-game for this print. I strongly recommend using line supports and printing the version not attached to a base to give you the highest chance of getting all 8 tentacles free intact.

The example mini was printed on an Ender 3 and painted with Citadel Paints
