3D model description

This slingshot is versatile for various projectiles to hit targets

This is the latest current slingshot of Tim Postma (Windsor, Ontario Canada)as of December 19th, 2019 & is released for transparency & for various things as projectiles to hit targets

here is a @youtube video featuring the same slingshot at first glance https://youtu.be/-mSt1pFM_dw
(Be careful because unless you are shooting eraser heads or other rubber products this can break thin glass- windows)

***INSTRUCTIONS (updated

( for using x2 size 117B rubber bands)

ā€¢1stĀ
get two rubber bands (one on each end you need to single loop knot in the hole(on opposite directions) and do the same for the other end) that way its secure

ā€¢2nd stepĀ
is to make the pouch so while keeping the rubber bands secure layout a small piece of duct tape & sandwich each rubber band on each end of the length with the middle being pre-laminated (this is the easiest way so far)

ā€¢3rd now you almost are finished making the slingshot just need to fire one shot in order to form the pouch

*also a strip of cut long enough rubber bands tied will also work

WARNING SLINGSHOT IS ONLY SAFE IF HANDLED PROPERLY, SAFELY & RESPONSIBLY, AND AT YOUR OWN RISK & EVERY SHOOTER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU SHOOT, DO NOT BE RECKLESS OR MISUSE AS RECKLESS OR MISUSE CAN BE DANGEROUS, DO NOT LAUNCH WHEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE

ALSO, CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS ALSO BE A GOOD CITIZEN AND RESPECT PROPERTY AND NEVER BE CRUEL)( ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION IS ADVISED ALSO WORTH NOTING TO BEWARE OF RICOCHETS, ADDITIONALLY KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS & INTEGRITY OF THIS DESIGN IS ALSO CRITICAL, BY DOWNLOADING OR POSSESSING THESE DESIGNS OR THE 3DPRINTS UNDER LICENSE MEANS ITS ASSUMED YOU UNDERSTAND AND READ THESE AND AGREED BY THESE RULES AND IGNORANCE IS NO ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE

3D printing settings

this will be a lot easier with good brand duct tape

Warning if you do not have an appropriate target & an appropriate range that's when freak accidents happen

*it might sometimes be easier to 3dprint this on a glass plate than a metal plate, if not an adhesive or a build surface product like build tak might make things easierĀ
i find warps in general for metal plates unless you use something like build tak or print the first layer or two slow & then put it at 130% speed if not meet the min requirements of your 3d printer manufacturer

  • also this design is pretty strong and durable & tough pla should be plenty Also, these rubber bands wear out over time so a knife or pair of pliers is the only way to replace the bands & then retie both bands, make the pouch & fire a shot to form the pouch i use x2 size 117B rubber bands but size 107 rubber bands should work AS Slingshot code

ā€¢treat stretching the elastic as if you are pulling the trigger

ā€¢keep those innocent out of the equation

ā€¢any time there is a reasonable risk of an accident do not shoot

ā€¢keep trajectory in mind unless itā€™s a test or celebration

ā€¢control where you point or aim

ā€¢if possible scout out the area of anywhere it could use & then decide trajectories though there is an exemption for long range for tests, memorials & celebrations

ā€¢be actively aware of what your surroundings & do not over-distract yourself you should not be drinking or using drugs while shooting

ā€¢have full accountability equiresblity & responsibilities of every shot

to Clarify a slingshot range rule I have requires one to be safe with it if your following the rules & are reasonably preventing accidents as much as able & keeping the risk as low as possible& then a freak accident isnā€™t unsafe action
