3D model description

β€œOn a field, sable, the letter A, gules.” The Scarlet Letter is always dramatic. I made this WordCloud of The Scarlet Letter using Mathematica by Wolfram Research. The sizes of the words are related to their frequencies within the novel. Print this with two colors or with one and enjoy how the words bring forth themes and emotions from the story.

Bonus! Stand included for display.

The 4th photo is a screenshot of the WordCloud in Mathematica before creating the STL files and doing some minor edits in Simplify3D.

This was printed with my Palette because I wanted it as large as possible on my MakerGear M3-ID. It could be printed using single extrusion and a pause for a color change.

3D printing settings

Base plate is approximately 196 x 196 x 3 mm. The words and β€œA” together approximately 190 x 190 x 8 mm. Printed with 0.3 mm layer height. No supports. No raft.

The stand prints on its side with no supports. I used a raft to help it stick to the print bed.

I used Simplify3D to help finalize the design.

Stand design was inspired by Photographic Plate Stand (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2426039) on Thingiverse.
