Universal Caliper Mount - Remix

This is a remix of the universal caliper holder by swiss_beluga. Changes were made for my application in a woodworking facility, where these would be heavily used and abused.

*Use the 3MF files... the STL file is only attached, due to Thingiverse requiring it to publish.

Modifications Include:
* Uses #10 countersunk screws for mounting (machine screws)
* Magnets: uses (2) 12x3mm neodymium disc magnets
* Modified hooks are now angled to prevent breakage. With the magnets, this still holds well but prevents the hooks from being broken off if the user pulls directly back without first lifting the caliper from the hooks. This also prevents the magnets from opening the caliper as it is removed since users intuitively pull up at an angle to remove the caliper, instead of first sliding it upward.

Part Files (2 Options):

Cal_Mnt_V2e - Caliper holder only

Cal_Mnt_V2eS - Caliper Holder with a screwdriver pocket (for use with calipers that have a battery cover secured by a screw). The screwdriver pocket fits the standard screwdriver included with calipers we use, which has an 8mm OD handle.


UM3_CalMtV2eS_X6 - Cura print file for use with an Ultimaker 3 printer. This is configured to print 6 of the caliper holders at a time. It contains all my print settings, for reference.
