Description

To develop new wheels and electronics for those I created quickmount kit for the Logitech G29/G920 (G27 might work also). This requires few connectors and 3 self tapping screws (standard wheel) to be working one. Below are listed all connectors which I have used to create this on my own G29.

Package contains base side adapter, plug holder and attaching nut, and also following wheel hubs:

  • Stock wheel
  • 6x60mm flat faced for custom applications
  • 6x70mm flat faced for some car wheels (Sparco?)

Plugs used on Logitech ends (7 pin, male and female needed) :https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PH-2-0mm-Connector-Sets-2-16-Pin-Housing-Header-Crimps-JST-PH-Style/232383796538?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144

Plugs used and designed for on quickmount (7 or 8 pin, 8 pin enable usb data-passthru when ground is connected thru outer shell of the connector, male & female) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-4-5-6-7-8-Pin-Male-or-Female-Mini-DIN-Plug-Socket-Connector-Adapter-W-Handle/323656244779?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144

Note: Using G29 without wheel is possible, but Windows tend to get crazy for some reason. One possible resolution is to edit configuration on Logitec Gaming Software to remove all mappings from wheel buttons and shifter paddles. I'm working on electronics to learn how original wheel electronics are made and trying to recreate setup to emulate original wheel electronics.
