3D model description

This is a baiting boat for carp fishing enthusiasts. This boat allows you to lay 2 lines and bait them independently. A 6-channel transmitter/receiver is required. Upgrades are planned to integrate GPS, camera and lighting.

The hull is designed to accommodate 2 propulsion motors. It has 2 independent hatches and 2 line releases. 4 servomotors are therefore required. The opening and closing of the line releases are actuated by 2 servomotors that push/pull a metal rod (2mm) through the line release.

The hull .stl file is split into 3 parts (front, middle, rear). I use epoxy glue (Araldite) to bond the PLA hull parts and other accessories (motor mounts, servo motors, etc.). The hull is then painted to protect it from humidity (or at best, a coat of gelcoat).

All the files I use to run the boat are included:

  • 3-part hull + files for gluing reinforcements

  • brackets: motor, servomotor (micro size 9g), drive shaft

  • line releases

  • carrying handle

  • covers with locking system

For the hatch opening system, it is necessary to print the file named "stem_shape" and the file "shape_V2" in PETG. The "shape_1" and "Shape_2" files are useful if you wish to use a 4mm aluminum rod.

Dimensions :

  • length : 39.5cm

  • width : 27cm

  • height : 13cm

The hardware and electronics I use in addition :

Motors :2826 1200KV

ESC : 30A

Receiver :FrSky V8FR-II HV

Transmitter : Taranis X Q7 (simpler and much cheaper models are available)

Battery: Lipo 3S

Servomotor: micro 9g 22.8 x 12.2 x 28.5mm

Propellers : 3 blades 36mm

Shafts: 8/4mm

Aluminium rod for hatch opening system: 4mm

3D printing settings

Minimum print area required: 30x20cm

Coating thickness: 0.3 for shell, 0.2 for accessories

Filling: 20%.
