BAGS Bone Anchored Ghetto Speaker

This is a very niche design, I was the recipient of a bone anchored hearing implant back in October. Specifically the Cochlear BAHA attract in an attempt to aid my hearing impairment of being deaf in an ear, a.k.a. single-sided deafness, a.k.a. SSD. For those of you unfamiliar with the device, a magnet and titanium abutment was inserted into my skull behind my deaf ear. It's below the skin and a magnet affixed to the hearing aid portion is then magnetically held to my skull. Microphones pick up the sound, shakes my skull with a transducer and transmits sound to my good ear from an effect called bone conduction. Where your skull is used like a soundbox. Neat stuff.

This is a hack of an inexpensive bluetooth speaker called a Groove Cube to create an inexpensive, small and convenient bluetooth speaker for other BAHA attract users to make and use for music/speakerphone calls. Something most BAHA users hearing processor already does, BUT this is much louder than any processor I've used. Replicates sound a lot cleaner, clearer and brighter and the most important feature of this hack in my view is that it's cheap. The BAHA hearing aid is thousands of dollars, fragile and not the sort of thing you want to use in an environment where it may be lost or broken.

So this is a novelty for the select few of us with the ability to use it, for hearing impaired tinkerers who want something inexpensive to enjoy music out in the world without risk of ruining their precious processor.
