3D model description

If you or a loved one has purchased a Smart 90 quad copter, I am sorry for you. For everyone who doesn't know what this quad is like, lucky you. It doesn't entirely suck, but it's pretty bad. But it also costs $20, or at least it did when Hobbyking had it in stock. That being said, it still teaches you some good flying skills and can get you familiar with Betaflight.

All of you who have purchased a Smart 90 know that there is much to wish for. While these 3d printed parts don't make the quad amazing by anyone's standards, they definitely raise the bar.

Included is a camera mount for the FPV cam and 3D printable spacers to be used with m2 or m3 bolts.

After not-so-soft landing #3, my Smart 90 ejected its camera. That's because the quad comes with the cam wedged between the two carbon fiber plates and is in no way properly mounted. The 3D printable mount fixes that. The camera slides in and, with a touch of hot glue, is good to go. The camera mount elevates the camera 15Β° to the horizontal also.

In addition to the problem with the camera, I noticed quickly that the screws used to hold the frame together were plastic, and stripped as soon as they could from the original nylon standoffs. So I got two m2x20 bolts, two m2x16 bolts, four m2 washers and nuts and printed out the m2 spacers to replace the original hardware. Works a lot better and hasn't fallen apart yet. Included are m3 spacers for m3 hardware, but I would think that m3 hardware will weigh down this wimpy little quad.
