As an alternative, one or more disposable surgical type filters can be cut to make a simple filter, but to be used in low risk situations.

At least two or three layers of Plastic PRIMER should be applied on the outside of the mask to reduce the possibility of entry of the virus, which can penetrate the plastic (PLA or PETG), lets dry 24 Hours.

It is a PROTOTYPE, and no scientific studies have been carried out, but it contributes to reducing the entry of the COVID-19 virus, depending on the filter used, and most importantly, it contributes to reducing the viral load, using it at will.


Mascara de protección re-utilizable

Se requiere utilizar un filtro 8 cm de diámetro tipo HEPA/N95

Como alternativa, se puede recortar uno o varios filtros desechable tipo quirúrgico, para fabricar un filtro simple, pero de uso en situaciones de poco riesgo.

Se deben aplicar de dos o tres capas, como mínimo, PRIMER para plastico por la parte externa de la mascara para reducir la posibilidad de entrada del virus, el cual puede atravesar el plástico (PLA o PETG), dejar secar 24 horas.

El porta filtro es removible y puede ser sustituido por otros modelos con anclaje tipo 3M.

Este es mi primer aporte contra la lucha contra el coronavirus COVID-19, y seguiré trabajando para mejorar el diseño y elaborar otros productos. Si requiere aluna medida especial de filtro, déjeme un comentario, para nuevos diseños.

Es un PROTOTIPO, y no se han realizado estudios científicos, pero contribuye a reducir la entrada del virus COVID-19, dependiendo del filtro utilizado, y lo mas importante contribuye a reducir la carga viral, usar a discreción.

DEVELOPMENT:

First of all I want to communicate that I am not a doctor or specialist, I am an ENGINEER.

After doing a study of many other designs and if they are of real use or useless, I share my opinion about it.

According to everything I have been able to understand, the contagion of the virus occurs, in almost all cases, when a healthy person comes into contact with fluids (Saliva or Secretions) from an infected person. This occurs when the infected person sneezes or secretes fluids, which come into contact, in some way, with the mouth, nose or eyes of a healthy person.

It should also be borne in mind that the COVID-19 virus is very small and could physically pass through porous materials, such as plastic printed by 3D printers. On the other hand, the virus does not move by itself, it uses the fluids to move, so if the fluid does not penetrate, the virus could not penetrate too, in most cases either.

A mask that is impervious (to water) offers good protection, but there is a very small chance that the virus will penetrate, so my design has two basic conditions: The mask is quite separate internally from the nose and mouth. (Many designs that I have seen are not), which offers extra protection, and secondly, I recommend coating the internal part, with Latex, for greater waterproofing and security.

On the other hand, the filter must be subjected to further studies, so the design includes an interchangeable filter, which can be updated and improved in the near future, and additionally offers the alternative of using commercial filters, type 3M 6000 series.

The filter support base includes a separation that also reduces the possibility of virus entry.

DESARROLLO:

En primer lugar quiero comunicar que no soy medico, ni especialista, soy INGENIERO.

Después de hacer un estudio de muchos diseños de marcaras y de si están tienen una utilidad real o son inútiles les comparto mi opinión al respecto.

Según todo lo que he podido entender, el contagio del virus se produce, en casi todos los casos, cuando una persona sana entra en contacto con fluidos (Saliva o Secreciones) de una persona infectada. Esto se produce cuando la persona infectada estornuda o segrega fluidos, que llegan a entrar en contacto, de alguna manera, con la boca, nariz u ojos, de una persona sana.

También hay que considerar que el virus COVID-19 es muy pequeño y físicamente podría atravesar materiales porosos, como el plástico impreso por impresoras 3D. Por otra parte el virus no se mueve por si mismo, utiliza los fluidos para trasladarse, por lo que si el fluido no penetra, el virus tampoco podría en la mayoría de los casos.
Una mascara que sea impermeable (Al agua), ofrece una buena protección, pero hay una muy pequeña posibilidad que el virus penetre, por lo cual mi diseño tiene dos condiciones básicas: La mascara esta bastante separada internamente de las fosas nasales y de la boca (Muchos diseños que he visto no lo están), lo cual ofrece una protección extra, y en segundo lugar, recomiendo revestir la parte interna, con Latex, para mayor impermeabilización y seguridad.

Por otra parte el filtro debe ser sometido a mayores estudios, por lo cual el diseño incluye un filtro intercambiable, que puede ser actualizado y mejorado en un futuro cercano, y adicionalmente ofrece la alternativa de utilizar filtros comerciales, tipo 3M serie 6000.

La base de soporte del filtro, incluye una separación que también reduce la posibilidad de entrada del virus.

Espero mi diseño les sea de utilidad, y seguiré trabajando para mejorarlo.
