3D model description

This is a jig for making spline cuts in wooden boxes & frames using a palm router. It clamps onto the box using quick clamps, and you slide the router from one end of the slot to the other.

The sled width is 0.4mm wider than the base of my palm router. You may need to sand down the inside of the rails to get a smooth but straight movement (or use tape along the sides to narrow the gap if it prints too wide).

I've included a step file, so you can modify the model to fit your router base.

3D printing settings

Shown printed in Prusa galaxy grey PLA on a Prusa Mk3s. Printed with the "sled" face down, with supports on the bed.

Layer height 0.4mm, nozzle 0.6mm, 100% infill for strength.
