Blade Runner Blaster Laser Sight Mod

This is a mod and slight remix of AndersFP amazing PKD-2019 Blade Runner blaster https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4260720. I always wondered why the blaster Rick Deckard used didn't have a laser sight on it, so I made one!

This is a remix of the green LED light bar on the left side of the gun to make it into a laser sight AND green LED bar. It has it's own power hidden in the bullet chamber and turned on and off by pulling the trigger.

If you are printing and building from scratch just print the components here instead of the ones from his build, if converting, you will need to swap these parts out for what you have already created.

The most popular blaster out there from Andrew Forster https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-deckards-blaster-blade-runner-5694 can be converted as well with the attachment I created that slips right over the front led.
Just slip the forstermod.stl sight over what you already have, change the cylinder, wire and you are good to go! Or........ you can print the mod I have uploaded and replace the orig.

Thread the laser wires thru the front of the "pencil" and the green LED thru the back hole. You will need to splice the wires together after you make sure that you have the positives and negative wires correct. once spliced, I he'd shrunk a cover over the soldered wires and then heat shrunk an addition cover over the bunch just short of where the wires need to be snaked into the hole in the bullet cylinder. When you solder the battery holder please leave enough wire to pull out of the case to change batteries but not too much so it won't fit in. You may want to trim the shft that is used for the cylinder down to fit the battery case. This cylinder has a smaller shaft hole and does not need the insert from the original model, this also means it does not lock and need to be unlocked to open. Take the wires and solder to the push button which will be glued behind the trigger. you may wish to paint the yellow button. cover the solder points with shrink tubbing and use black wires for all to hide the mod best as possible.

Point, pull trigger once to aim and you are good to go!
