3D model description

This is a traditional christmas ornament from Finland called Himmeli.

Traditionally it is tied together from soaked wet straws and hung from the ceiling.
It is believed to bring good luck and bountiful harvest to its owners.
It was believed that the bigger your himmeli is, the better your luck & harvest will be.

Now, I have decided to modernize this beloved christmas ornament to bring you all good luck and successful prints!

This is the original inspiration for it:

They come in various shapes and forms, style is quite free so I decided to make a easy to make one to brighten your christmas!

There is one file in here and my instructions will be quite simple for it: you simply print the file in different percentage scales.

The version I have is using
2x 375%
8x 200%,
40x 100% scale ones

(remember, 2 pieces gets combined together, that's why the number seems so high)

PS:

Feel free to use your own percentage scales to print variations and experiment if you want.
My scaling suggestions have been made with all kinds of 3d printers in mind, to ensure best possible printability!
Some printers can surely print smaller scale ones just fine (I specifically recommend 50% one as smallest one) but it can result in nasty overhangs and top of the pyramid failing if there isn't sufficient cooling.

The final pyramids will be assembled by gluing them together using superglue and then tied together with strings into the Himmeli.

I used fishing line myself as it's transparent and holds well.
As a tip consider using color-matching thread if you want! :)

I look forward to seeing all the different kind of Himmelis you have been printing!
Merry christmas & happy holidays everyone!

I uploaded couple different kinds of pictures of variations I've done on this now.
