3D model description

This is a Work In Progress, and isn't tested, so use or print at your own risk.

This is a ventilator design based on a BVM (Manual Bag Mask Valve) breather device.

The BVM is already a proven mechanism for manual respiration. This project provides a simple machine that constantly operates the BVM with mostly printed parts.

If you're in an area where there aren't enough ventilators for the need, and you are operating a BVM for a family member, this design is made for you.

In addition to the printed parts, the build also requires
10K potentiometer
NEMA 17 Stepper Motor
2 X 623ZZ Bearings

5 X M3-12 hex bolts
1 X M3-6 hex bolt
1 X M3 nut

1 arduino (sanguino used in this example)
1 a4988 motor controller
assorted wiring

I repurposed a motherboard that I pulled from my Ender3 which is based on a sanguino with an A4988 motor controller.

Arduino code is included. You can determine the pinout requirement from the code comments.

Adjust the motor driver to provide 1v (1000mv) so the NEMA17 stepper has enough torque to reliably pump the machine. It will get hot but stay within operating parameters.

Once I've completed the design, I'll post a build video and some images.
