3D model description

There are several great organizers for Raiders with both expansions, but I had a few unique requirements and ideas. This one aims to assist with game setup and to be useful during game play, in addition to storage, and handle larger 3D printed pieces.

Features

  • Raiders of the North Sea, Hall of Heroes, and Fields of Fame all in the original Raiders box.
  • Requires the Raiders playmat, as there's no room for the three game boards in the box.
  • Stores five player boards and excursion boards instead of six. We would never consider playing Raiders with six players, so this frees up some much-needed room in the box.
  • A Townsfolk card draw+discard tray that fits perfectly onto the playmat, to keep the tall stack of cards from tipping over.
  • Four trays store provisions, mead, silver, wounds, gold, livestock, and iron during play. All compartments have a curved bottom to make it easy to pull out resources. Trays come in pairs, one for each side of the table.
  • The trays can fit larger 3D printed provisions (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4295513) and mead (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4349914), which wasn't feasible in most other organizers.
  • A tray to store tiles: one side holds all Quest tiles, the other holds Offering and Reputation tiles.
  • A divided bin to hold Worker meeples and player score markers.
  • Room at the top for the three rule books, with the box lid closed completely.

Notes

  • There are two different sized Provision+Mead trays. The larger one sits next to the card holder (see first photo).
  • All items should be printed once, except for the five-compartment tray, which should be printed twice.
  • The five Jarl encounter boards fit between the card holder and the player boards (see third photo).
  • The Townsfolk cards are all stored in one half of the card tray, and the 15 Jarl cards in the other half. The bag of plunder can be folded in half twice and stored above the Jarl cards (see photos).
  • The two five-compartment trays can be used to store odds-and-ends such as dice and multiplier cards, but during game play, they are used for resources traded in during the game (gold, iron, and livestock). I recommend storing the five spare gold (Hall of Heroes setup step #5) in one of the trays so it doesn't accidentally get mixed into the plunder bag.
  • I store all remaining boards (three game boards, one player board, one Jarl encounter board) in one of the expansion boxes. On the off chance I'd ever want to play a six player game, I could grab the extra board from there (or just go without a player board myself).

Printing

  • I printed these at fairly high speed and they turned out great.
  • All corners are slightly rounded, which helps prevent bulges where the nozzle needs to slow down in the corners.
  • All walls are 1.65mm thick, which should print as four full walls with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height (no gap fill needed).
  • I used 15% infill on the four trays, because of the curved tray floors. Otherwise, 0% infill works fine for all other items.
