3D model description

Here is another box design for you all πŸ’ͺ🏻

Easy to print
One part, Minimal use of supports

Less Filament = Cheaper
70 gr instead of +/- 100gr

Less Printingtime = Cheaper
-Almost 4 Hrs of printing time

This box is designed to fit a lithophane with the following dimension:

Height: 80mm
Width: 80mm
Border thickness: 4mm
Border width: 2mm

There is a clearance of 0.4mm calculated in the model. So with a lithophane thickness of 4mm it should slide in very easily.

If it doesn't, you should sand of some of your lithophanes elephant foot to make it fit ;)

Box dimensions are:

84x84x42 mm

The box can easily be fitted with a little piece of LED light strip. The box has an 4mm or an 8.5mm opening at the back where you can pull trough the wires of the power source. The design with the 8.5mm opening makes it possible to pull a complete, wired LEDstrip through it. So no need to solder anything! Just stick the LEDstrip inside and stick it to the back 😁πŸ’ͺ🏻

I've used a LED strip with 60 LED/meter but for this box I've only used 4 LEDs. And its more than enough πŸ˜‰ I chose a USB-cable with dimmer as the power source so you can use it with a powerbank or a phone charger.

Solder the wires to the LED strip, fit the led strip in the box, plug in power source and enjoy your lithophane lightbox 😁
