Tangram 16x16 cm

The tangram is an ancient Chinese game from which and the use of creativity can be elaborated different figures, nowadays it is used in the initial education for the basic teaching of geometry.

It consists of seven pieces two large triangles, two small triangles one medium one square and a rhombus, all together form a huge square. In this case I made a tangram of 16 cm per side, since the tangram must be made in units multiple of 4; For this case the measures of the individual figures are the following:

-2 large triangles:

base = 160 mm

depth = 10 mm

length from base to apex = 80 mm

-1 medium triangle:

base = 113,137 mm

depth = 10 mm

length from base to apex = 56,569 mm

-2 small triangles:

base = 80 mm

depth = 10 mm

length from base to apex = 40 mm

-1 square:

sides = 56,569 mm

depth = 10 mm

-1 rhombus:

width = 120 mm tip to tip (base 80 mm)

depth = 10 mm

base length lower to upper = 40 mm
