Stuck at home for the holidays? Here's a fun and interactive 3D print to light up your house.

This Christmas tree model incorporates raw filament inserts and can also act as a cover for a tea light.

This design includes 2 variations of the filament tree: one is the classic simple filament twist that can be printed using vase mode. The other is has ornament cutouts that can project light from a tea light along with the filament twist.

There is a spot for a star on top, and yes... it can be attached via a raw filament strand.

This design is very simple to print and requires no support material.

Note: Be sure to use an electronic/LED tea light candle as to not melt the tree when placed inside, safety first!

3D printing settings

Printer: Prusa

Layer height: 0.2mm

Material: PLA

Standard filament tree: Print using vase mode (prusa slicer) or spiralize outer contour (cura) - ensure to have 0 bottom layers and 0 top layers input in your settings to allow for a hollow sleeve.

Filament tree with ornament cutouts can be printed with 0% infill, 1 perimeter line (replicates a vase mode style)
