3D model description

UPDATE: Version 3 now available
This camera pod replaces the whole front of the S800 and will hold a GoPro session 4 or 5 and your FPV camera. The width of the pod matches the stock camera bay and has a profile that matches the S800 nose. Cut the foam front out of the S800 and glue this in with a strong, flexible adhesive like E6000 or Goop. There's a cavity on the underside of the pod to hold adhesive tyre balancing weights if needed for setting the correct CG.

Currently supported FPV cameras:

Runcam Swift 2
Runcam Micro Swift
Foxeer Mini Arrow V3
Runcam Eagle 2

Future versions will include the Runcam Eagle 2 and the Runcam Swift Mini.

The FPV camera is friction fit and should be secure. If extra peace of mind is needed, you can use a blob of hotglue to seal the camera in place. If the fit is too tight, use a sharp craft knife to remove material. Likewise, if there is a little play, cut a piece of paper or card to use as a shim.

I'm always happy to hear your thoughts, so let me know in the comments how you get on with this and suggest any improvements that you think need making.

If you've printed this camera pod and like it, why not head over to the S800 Facebook group and post a photo or video of your S800 using it?

Why not also head over to my YouTube channel and watch me crash?

I also have a Facebook page.
