3D model description

Multi function Bed table which converts to shelve for computer and breakfast!

Multi function design converts from (bedside) shelve into bed-tray for working and breakfast in bed, or a funky ergonomic laptop desk stand.

Made to Up-cycle old scaffolding wood into a:

  • Bed tray (work or breakfast)
  • Shelve
  • Laptop stand

My idea was to create something that is multi-functional and at the same time creates a second function to the product in the way you store it. Instead of it becoming something that just lies around your room without function.

Ideal for student accommodation or small bed/study rooms!

So the main idea was to create a cool upcycled bed tray that is easy to print and does not cost a lot of filament and at the same time take something useless and give it a second life. Because the tray can function as both a bedside shelve / table and an ergonomic desktop stand it really adds a lot to the functionality.

The legs of the desk only take about 15 hours to print at 90mm/s.

For the egg cup you need to avoid printing supports in the space for the clip, but it does need a small support on the side of the spoon holder.

I used a 30 mm x 150mm x 600mm piece of scaffolding wood. The slot for the wood is 26mm x 150mm, so to make a nice tight fit I sanded down the ends of the plank to make it fit nice and tight. Just add a bit of glue once your happy with the end result.
