**Blackstar" is an American animated science fiction television series, produced in 1981 by Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott for Filmation. It has many notable similarities to "He-Man and Masters of the Universe", which was produced shortly after. The model is a hybrid design between the figure launched in 1983 by the company "Galoob", the original concept that appeared in the series and the figures from "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe".
